Compare and Contrast

In the movie version of Tuesdays With Morrie, all of the main points & most of the details were just about the same as the book. The movie did a good job of showing how Morrie's disease was affecting his body as it did in the book and in the interview with Morrie as well. Also, most of the conversations and quotes were included in the movie as they were in the book. Some were a little out of order, though, but that wasn't too big of a deal. Another thing that the movie really did a good job showing was how busy Mitch was all the time, such as the scene in the hotel when he first discovers Morrie on tv and in the car when he finds Morrie's house. They were exactly how I had pictured him trying to multi-task. The movie also did a great job capturing their personalities. Morrie is exactly how I pictured him to be and acts the same way as he did in both the book and the movie.
There were only a few things that were different in the movie. The main thing that was different was the whole situation with Janine and Mitch. In the book, they were married but in the movie they were just dating and "talking" about marriage I suppose. That whole situation could end up being a distraction over Mitch and Morrie's relationship. Another thing was that I really didn't picture Mitch looking like the actor who plays him in the movie. I think I pictured him more of a Matt Damon character rather than a Hank Azaria character :).
